Finished head circumference: 54 (56–58) 60–62 cm

Gauge (before felting): 20 sts x 26 rows in stockinette on 3.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm
Gauge (after felting): 20 sts x 26 rows = 7.5 x 7.5 cm (approx. 25% shrinkage).

Note: If you do not achieve the desired result, it may be due to a different yarn or washing machine. Adjust and experiment until the result matches the given gauge.

Suggested needles: 3.5 mm circular needle (60 cm).

Yarn choice:
The sample beret is knitted with 1 strand of blow yarn and 1 strand of mohair.

You can choose between:

• Recycled yarn: Consider using leftover or recycled yarn. It’s cheaper, better for the environment – and fun! Work until you achieve the given gauge (20 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm before felting, 7.5 x 7.5 cm after felting).
  • Yardage required: 250 m blow yarn + 250 m mohair yarn + a small scrap of yarn for the “Femi” embroidery.
