Funda Sweater

Size: (1) 2 (3)

Bust Measurement: (100) 110 (120) cm, measured at the widest place around the stomach and chest.

Size guide: The sweater should have a positive ease at 25-30 cm. This means that the sweater should be about 25-30 cm bigger than your bust measurement.

Length: (50) 55 (60) cm. or desired length.

Gauge: 12 stitches x 15 rows in stockinette stitch on needle size 9 mm = 10 x 10 cm (after washing).

Recommended needles: Needle size 9 mm (40 and 60/80/100 cm)

Yarn selection: The Funda sweater in the front picture is knitted with two threads. A thin mohair thread and a thicker blow yarn thread. (17 sts = 10 cm)

 Which yarn should you choose?

1. Reknit an old sweater or
2. Buy new yarn

1) Reknit: Consider using recycled or leftover yarn for your project. It’s cheaper, better for the environment, and quite fun!
Experiment with your own yarn until you achieve a gauge of 12 stitches x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Amount:Use (1100) 1200 (1350) meters of yarn of each thread. (Consider adding an extra mohair thread to create variation in the design (450) 500 (550) meters.)

2) New yarn:
(6) 6 (7) balls DROPS Kid-Silk
(8) 8 (9) balls DROPS air
Optionally: (1) 2 (2) balls of Kid Mohair Handdyed by Hjertegarn.  If you want the hand-dyed mohair to go through the entire sweater, you will need 3 balls of yarn (1100) 1200 (1350) meters.
